George, I know it won't take the pain away but I REALLY AND TRULY understand your emotions, relate to every single word in your post. I know, this life, or existence (the name I use now!), can feel so much like Hotel California, one of my all-time favorites, incredible music, the lyrics can have many different interpretations and they can definitely sound appropriate now. It brings back memories when my C used to play the song with his guitar and I "tried" accompanying with the piano and singing.
I scream out his name often during my grief attacks, asking him continuously where he is. I imagine he's here but I just can't see him, I talk to him as if he's actually here, I just won't accept that he's gone. In conclusion, it's a good thing to cry out all this heartache, anger, disappointment, and trillions of other emotions, it's better than bottling them all up inside. Once again, thank God for this site, I feel so lucky to have met you all, we can "make it through the rain", staying together, I feel better just imagining I'm giving you all a big hug.

NIghts are hard. I feel so alone sometimes... I look at her picture and think about what was... I know I really should be looking at the present... Mindfulness and such... Not always gonna happen... THanks for listening and understanding!

My dear GIC friend, I do understand your sadness and depression. I was married for fifty years and I knew that Geoff would leave this Universe since 1997, I took care of him first with his heart attack then stage 3 Cancer. After his surgery he survived for fifteen years which I'm grateful! even so the last three years were the most difficult seeing him leaving this world day by day.
After nineteen months since his death I only think of the wonderful time we had together and try to move forward, it's difficult... BUT we still here...you're not alone, we are listening and understand your pain.!!
Lots of cyber hugs from your GIC friend Helena

    Hello everyone,
It’s been a difficult stretch with my mom. She’s gone home from the rehab facility (she gets quite upset when I call it a nursing home) and she’s fallen every time. She’s taking anti platelet and anticoagulant medication because she has atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure. She had a stroke at the end of May. I’m trying to work full time and complete my masters, but I don’t think I can do all of this anymore. Too much. Anyway, I miss you all. Take care of yourselves. ❤️

Oh Deb A, it's so very hard. You have so much stress, I feel for you. Is there anyway you can have a care person come to her house to help her, shop, laundry, meals, etc ,? Do the best you can, that's all you can do. Try to take care of you. Blessings Deb, karen

So sorry you're going through all this, Deborah. Being back at home should help to make your mother feel better, but like Karen says, you could do with someone to help you take care of her.
I hope everything works out for the best. Talk to us whenever you like, we are here to give you moral support.
    Rose.

Thank you Karen, she had all of that. The issue is that she keeps falling and she’s taking anticoagulants and anti platelet medication, so a hemorrhage and internal bleeding is a big risk. She’s unfortunately probably going to live all of her final days in a nursing home. I wish it weren’t so. But I am powerless to change reality. Thank you for your support. It’s been an exhausting summer. But love will get us through. ❤️
