Rose, we owe a debt of gratitude to my
2 younger brothers on GIC: Gary , for
honoring me by calling me The Godfather
( Don Corleone), and, of course , George,
with his wildly changing nicknames for
us. His latest , for me, is The Godfather of
    Lobsters.... Lou

    Bernadine,
That looks like my life right now. Cry over songs, special foods, movies, even smells and sounds. I left Tom's message on the answer machine. Most of the time I catch it before it goes to his voice but sometimes I just call it myself to hear him speak and then I cry again. Tomorrow Christmas Day is going to be really rough.
    Love to you all, Janiceanne

The Grief Warriors ( TGW). We leave
no one behind on the battlefield of
    grief. Lou

Woke up for nature call at 2am, and saw
your funny posts to "Debsterino of
Tuttamville" and to me, Don, not "Duane"
    Lou, "LobsterDude",and as BroGar would
say, you gave me a LMSO ( Laugh My Sad
Off). You are now the officially funniest
(and bravest) member of GIC.I am proud
to have you as my younger brother. The
    Godfather of all Lobsters.

Patti, Christmas on GIC is now complete
with your presence. As I told one of our
    newest members, Deborah, you and
Karen were the first 2 people to welcome &
comfort me when I joined in July of 2021.
You have an amazing memory of all our
Grief Warriors, some who have moved on,
like 1 guy Rick and CathyLynn. Now,
    besides Janiceanne, from your state,
we have Deborah, and PatFan (who likes
to be called B). I am overjoyed to see you
on here.Brother Gary calls me The
    Godfather, who brings the family
together. Then, you must be my sister,
The Godmother. God Bless You and
    Merry Christmas. Lou

    To TGW, my GIC "family,"

Getting here late, couldn't have said it as good as Patti did, but wishing all of you the best Christmas possible, that there will be more smiles than tears... However you're spending today, whatever you're doing, I hope you have some good memories when today is over, but if not, just get through today the very best you can, knowing that our GIC "family" will ALWAYS!!! be here to help you up, as you stumble and fall along this miserable path, we've all been forced to take(I might have just set a new record for the world's longest run on!!!, lol...).

Sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace. DEB

YAY, Debster! As I said to your fellow
    South Carolina resident, Patti, Christmas
on GIC is now complete with your kind
    presence, " Debarino of
    Tuttamville", as our funny brother
    George, from Lombardville, calls you!
    Merry Christmas, from The
    Godfather of Lobsters ha!ha!.....

    Georgester,

Being as technically challenged as I am, I have no idea why my post isn't showing up where I want it too. So... going to try again...

This is so very beautiful, so very sad, all at the same time... You're not only a very talented artist, but very talented writer too.

As usual, I'm not reading posts in the order which they were written, makes catching up a bit more challenging, lol!!!

Sending you zillions of extra hugs and love, on Christmas,...

Wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEBSTER

P.S. It worked!!! I've mastered copy and paste, lol!!!

    Godfather of Lobsters (lol!!!),

As I recently said to Patti, it's wonderful "seeing" you on Christmas too!!! As I told Georgster, I'm not reading posts in the order they were written, which makes catching up a bit of a challenge, lol..., so I hope you're feeling much better and kick the F***!!! out of the flu ASAP!!!

As always, sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. Debarino (Variety is the spice of life!!!)

Hi everyone, glad to be on line at the same time as a lot of you, as I can see. Thank you for being here for me and I want to wish each and every Grief Warrior, including our newcomers, all the best for this Christmas Day. It's nearly over for us here in Italy, we had a lovely relaxing lunch with my FIL and his delightful wife, who is a wonderful cook and always spoils us so much.

    Hugs to everyone.

    Janiceanne,

No advice, just zillions of hugs and lots and lots of love being sent your way... I've experienced everything you're going through. It SUCKS!!! I have a bad habit of not reading messages in the order in which they're written, but I hope today doesn't turn out as bad as you were expecting it to be. Lou always says to remember that today is only one day, it'll be over soon. Hang in there... Your GIC "family" will be here for you always!!!, TUTTAM (Total Understatement To The Absolute Max).

Sending you even more hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

Greetings The Grief Warriors. I walked the labyrinth today to honor all our fellow sufferers, their spouses, relatives, friends, fur babies, trees, and plants. May the Force be with you today! I just got a burst of positivity from attending a zoom grief meeting then talking afterwards. Otherwise this Christmas would have sucked big time other than hearing from my friends on GIC. In this moment I love you all! Gary
