Thank you so much Karen, for your caring thoughts. And also for your thanksgiving wishes. I’m trying my best to leave grief behind and realize all the things I’m thankful for. Wishing you and your family a Happy and Peaceful Thanksgiving too! Robin

Wow, Robin! Just woke up ( later than
usual) and saw your lovely greeting!
Thank you. It's hard to believe you are in
warm Florida with your son. I can't
complain. Though in the 40s, there's a bright blue , cloudless sky & cheerful
sun. Most importantly, I have a place to
go this afternoon, to sit at a table with my
"adopted"family. As I told Ms. Hum,
(Karen), Mr.Grief is not invited. And, to
    Bernadine, I'm leaving griefland behind
for today. I hope all TGW have a place to
go. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Louster

Thank you for your wishes too Lou I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving with your adopted family. I can’t believe I’m in Florida either. But it feels right. It’s warm and sunny, going to 85 today. Just trying to take it all in. A first for me will be going in my sons spa on Thanksgiving. Starting the drive north at some point tomorrow. My wish is that everyone has a good day. I’m thankful for all of the TGW family. Robin

Robin and TGWs, our GIC "family,"

Robin, thank you for the very beautiful card... I couldn't have said it any better than you did. Wishing you, and TGW, our GIC "family," a very Happy Thanksgiving...

I hope every one of us is able to enjoy the day (or as much of it as possible), that there are many more smiles than tears... And, when today is history, I hope we have special memories to cherish..., memories that we can pull out whenever Mr. Grief visits, memories that feel like a warm hug... leaving us with smiles instead of tears..., reminding us of all the good things in life...

As always, sending every member of our "family", furry "family" members included!, lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

We don't have Thanksgiving here, but I know how special and important this day is for all of you. I want to wish each and every one of my GW friends a joyful, peaceful Thanksgiving, leaving Mr Grief behind to make your day as happy as possible, with your families and friends. I'm thinking of you all.
    Rose.

Thank you so much Rose! So sweet of you. Thankful for you and all our TGW family. There were thanksgivings in the past I felt I wasn’t thankful just angry and sad. I do have things to be thankful for. Including the wonderful life I was lucky enough to experience with Ron. And our children who keep me going. You’re in our thoughts as always. Robin

George, I'm so sorry your heart is breaking
on this family holiday, where everyone
seems happy. Did your son & his
girlfriend try to be with you? I hate to
think you were all alone. I'm glad you
reached out to the Grief Warriors. When
I came up with that term , my idea was
that not one of us would be left behind on
the field of battle. I had a much better day
than you, bc I went to a Thanksgiving
dinner, with a family who welcomed me
even though I'm not a family member. But,
I remember only too well, past years,
when I refused the invitation, and cried
at home alone. Mr. Grief attacked me
briefly at home tonight. I was listening to
a blues harp, and recalled that Linda
bought me one as a gift, and being the
lazy, stubborn asshole I was, I never
played it, and it made her sad. F*CK
Mr. Grief!!!, as our not so "delicate
flower", Deb, would say. Lobster Lou

I just can't stop crying today... TB is all into his self.. he hates his Mother so I get no support from him.. Roger Waters and Flaming Lips and Leonard Cohen are all I have except for my GWs!

George I’m so sorry you’re having such a terrible day. I have guilt cause I’m having a calm day with my children. But I’ve been where you are, I know how you’re feeling. I hated everyone and everything. Everyone else moves on enjoying life and my life is filled with unhappiness, loneliness and anxiety. Im doing better now, but the pain is there. I’ve cried multiple times today. But I’m not feeling the hatred and negativity I have felt in the past. So sorry you’re going through this alone. GW, get it and we’re definitely here for you. Sending you hugs! Robin

    Oh, crap, Georgerino, listening to
    Leonard Cohen , especially Hallelujah,
is depressing, even on a good day.Unless,
of course , you want to cry it all out today,
on the holiday, and treat tomorrow as a
normal Friday. I'm sorry your son is
    being a self centered ass, & doesn't
comfort you in your extreme pain. But,
    we will.............Lousterino
