That was my thought too as I read through each thing.
One big UGH! For us all. I had gotten past some of this, it has creeped back in in recent months.
    We keep trying though.

George, I had all these symptoms
for the 2 years after Linda died.
    The horrible realization that
    she would NEVER come back
to me physically, led me to
    trouble sleeping, sad dreams
that I was hugging Linda, waking up , sobbing, that they
    were just dreams, and drinking
to dull the pain of guilt that I
wasn't affectionate to her during what would be her last days in
the rehab unit of a nursing
home. Hope it gives you & Grief
    Warriors comfort & hope, that
    after 4 & a half yrs since Linda's
death, I don't have most of
    Bernadine's list of grieving.
What I DO have, is occasional
tears in my eyes, like I did this
morning on a bus. A woman,
    struggling with her walker,
    reminded me of my sweet
    Linda. Lou

    1st. Brother Lombo of
    Berwynville, as I've said
before, I think you have the
worst weather in the U.S. :
    Bone chilling winds in winter.
    and extremely hot, humid, and
    rainy days in summer. 2nd.
This was your best , most
    colorful art yet. With the
brighter colors, I had the sense
that you have a ray of hope of
living in the now. Cancer, the
Crab (my sign ) Lou, no longer
Lobster Lou, bc I can't afford it,
    and like crabmeat better!

Not doing good today, am extremely anxious and upset but hearing from you and your appreciation of the art helps a lot! TB is all in a fuss about his apartatamant in Milwaukee Cirkus they are dicking him around! His stress and my stress are not a good combination. You take care Crab-O, I just need to be patient... things will work out!

In my darkest hours, a woman
who never met Linda, and is like
    a daughter, always says
"things will work out". She has a
strong belief in God & the
afterlife, as does Zuba. I say a prayer of gratitude to God
    every morning when I walk
past the ocean, that I'm still
alive & living in this beautiful
place . As for my spirit reuniting
with Linda's, I agree the soul
    has to go somewhere---"home".
    Mr. Never Say Never
    Romance. Sorry for repeating
    your post by mistake. Duh.

    Thanks, Bro! Being sensible
    tonight, and not going dancing
    bc it was uncharacteristically

hot, over 90 degrees, and I'm
drinking a lot of water, and
putting a fan next to my
head. I need to rest up tonight,)
so I can enjoy the next 4 nights!

I loved that group R. E. M. in the eighties, "Man on the moon", "Everybody Hurts", great songs, one of the best decades for good music, like the 50s ,60s,70s, what happened after that?
Loved your art too, George, I always enjoy myself observing all the shapes to see what type of object my mind can come up with. Thank you so much for giving us this art therapy, we all really need it.

Robin, that must have been scary, a tornado alert in the middle of the night! So glad it wasn't that bad in the end, but it sounds like it was a terrible storm. I'm happy for you that the sun's shining again. We're having a real heatwave, afternoon temperatures reach 100F, but it's normal for this time of year. I usually find this heat unbearable but after so much rain and cold, I am actually relieved and finding solace from this hot sun burning down on us! The humidity is not too bad yet, but will probably get worse, until then I'm not complaining.
On Sundays we usually have only big shopping centres open over here, a few large department stores and supermarkets, but small shops are all closed. I understand about stuff needing to be fixed, Robin, and I can imagine how hard it must be to go into that room where you had to store everything from your business you shared with your Ron. I am absolutely overwhelmed at the moment, with everything breaking, so much to do, I just don't know where to turn first. I sometimes feel like just 'dumping' everything, and running away as far as possible, but I know that's not the answer, I'd never do such a thing, of course, especially for my kids, it's just my crazy imagination running wild! I think we are all allowed to have our freaky, hysterical moments every now and then, considering what we're all going through.
Let's hope we all get a very long, sunny Summer this year.
    Rose.

Well, Rose, at the time, I was a
boy in the 50s, and loved the
culture of the time: music, TV
shows like Leave it to Beaver
( I was the same age as Beaver),
    Westerns, and movies ( my
    favorite was On the Waterfront,
with a great cast, incl. Marlon
    Brando and Eve Marie Saint).
    But. I digress. I didn't like the
80s disco music at the time,
like The BeeGees, Donna Summer, and Gloria Gaynor
    Now, Summer's She Works Hard
for the Money, and Gaynor's I
Will Survive ( which could be the theme song for us Grief
    Warriors) gets my heart
    pumping, and my female
friends and me on the dance
floor. And, of course , the
    BeeGees hit, Staying Alive,
    from Saturday Night Fever.
Saw a video on my phone, of
    Travolta, walking out of the
    apartment he shared with his
    parents, and walking down the
streets of NYC. He took a break
from his family & dull existence
in a boring job, and entered a
    night club,dressed to the nines.
When he hit the dance floor,
    he transformed into a
    superman who dazzled the
ladies . He had a serious face
while doing it . This much older
    Lou Travolta smiles with the
    joy of dancing with different
    women, friends & strangers
alike, but I'm not here to
dazzle them. But, a local blues
    singer knows that Hootchie
    Cootchie Man , by Muddy
    Waters, is my favorite blues
    song, and he recently shouted
a dedication to me. At that
glorious moment, I felt like I
    was the man singing that
sassy song, with a great beat.

I also want to express my appreciation to you George for the culture you have brought to The Grief Warrior camp. I appreciate your artistic pieces and the many songs you have shared. Your art stimulates us and the songs have a message of hope. It’s all new to me. I went to my monthly class pizza hut lunch today. It was my second time. There were 25 classmates in attendance. A lot of hugging and smiling going on like the REM video. I never thought about that song till now. I might become a regular at this gathering. We are grads of 1972 and a lot of them have experienced great loss like us. I was tired this morning and a little sad. I had some shopping to do before and couldn’t shake the feeling. I made up my mind I was going because of the concerts Rose and Robin had just attended with joy. With all the hugging and smiles in the pizza hut I felt safe and enjoyed myself. Tomorrow morning I will walk a nature trail and fellowship in a restaurant afterwards with the wild walker group. Saturday is Laura’s birthday and I’m invited for cake and ice cream. There are segments of contentment, joy, and sadness in our lives but it’s better than all sadness. I think I survive too. Gary

Yes, Lou, that Muddy Waters blues song is definitely a great work of art. I didn't understand or appreciate jazz/blues music before, until my C opened my eyes to all sorts of good music from great artists of the past. These classic hits have no time, no age, they will always be in the present and considered the greatest. I'm glad you have found a special place to listen and especially dance to all this music from the best artists of all time. By the way, I think the way Gloria Gaynor sings "I will survive" is pure geniality. That voice! Not forgetting the genius Aretha Franklin, of course.
    Keep dancing, Travolta.
    Rose.
