    Good Morning Everyone,

Just a very quick message to let you know I'm thinking about all of you.... Hope today brings more smiles than tears...

Putting on my walking shoes now.

As always, sending you hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

P.S. This has got to be one of my shortest messages yet, total understatement!!!

Morning, Deb! I'm blessed with sunny, 60s
temps the next few days, dropping to 50s
on Mon, but still sunny. I'm so happy for Steven & Betsy, who love to walk downtown, go in & out of the shops, and
meet the people I always talk about. Of
course, they are in awe of the ocean here.
Betsy was staying in retreats overlooking
the sea, years before she met Steven. Now,
he joins her. I just replied to 2 very long
posts by PJ, of Maine, about how she is
coping, after the death of her husband ,
Thomas. I suggested she read Jonathan's
book, which I had recommended to you,
George, Gary, and others. I think she'd
find it particularly interesting bc he was a
painter before becoming a writer, like she
is. PJ will be a welcome member to our
group. Enjoy your walk, Deb! I plan on one
    down the Neck. Loud

Haha! Just curious, Deb, when did you
start using that funny phrase, "total
    understatement!!!" ??? Lou

Slow start for me this am, Deb, but I don't
have the humidity problem you do. We had a couple of heat waves of hot & humid
weather, back in July, but most of the
time, there's a breeze. As you remember,
our summers are short & precious. I am
liking the jacket temps of Oct, as we
leave the sucky beginning part, filled
with sad emotions for many of us. I'm
conserving my energy for the busy
weekend ahead. I've been eating supper
at home, bc I will be out this weekend! Lou

To Ms Understatement, My granddaughter had three interviews via Zoom and got the job. She's never been to their office, but will the first day on the job.
Have to go and get ready for an appointment, eat breakfast and feed Rambo, Jack's cat. Have a good day.

Counselor Lou, your comment about a horse race and I will be closing in --soooooo darn funny, but I think my horse just sprained his ankle, he's out of the race today. His rider, Karen, has appointments today and can't be in the race until later on. Have a good day Lou.

Karen, I love your kindness and sense of
humor. I also love that we are teasing our
good friend, Deb, by addressing her as,
    " Dear Ms. Understatement!!!"......... Lou

    Lou,

I think it might have been my freshman year in college... but, then again, with this widow foggy brain thing going on, it might have been sometime during my senior year of high school... All I know, I was about 18 the first time I said it. Bob used to call it a "Deb original," but I'm not sure if it really is... one of those unsolved mysteries...

Thanks for telling me, Deb!! I wish I

do it here! On Neck---- beautiful! Everyone
    is here!!! Lou

    Lou,

By now breakfast is only a memory... I'm guessing either you're on your way somewhere for lunch, or maybe already there. I miss the fall in New England!!!, total understatement!!! (sorry, couldn't help this one, but as I mentioned to you before, even though I have trouble stopping, it is beginning to grow stale.) Even though I might need my Cuddle Duds under my jacket after living here for almost 3 years, I can't imagine a more beautiful place to be than in New England right about now.

I'm glad you're conserving your energy, you're going to need it!!! I'm sure you'll have at least a few stories to share with us. Another one of those TBC's...

This is a short one, lots of catching up to do, but I need a quick shower, the humidity sucks!!!, and I'm out of laundry detergent and dryer sheets. I need to do a load of wash before it walks itself into the laundry room, dives right into the machine. So...., just going to read a few more short messages and hit the road. But, I will be back.

    Enjoy the afternoon...

As always, sending you hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

Better stop here, want to read a few more short messages, then hit the shower, and the road...

    Karen.

This is all I could come up with after only having had one cup of caffeine before hitting the pavement: "Navigating Uncharted Waters Together, Finding Meaning In Life, Without The love(s???) Of Our Lives" by the GIC Crew

Hope all of your appointments go well...

Karen, I LOVE to make you & Deb
laugh! Linda & I kidded each other all
the time. She nicknames for me, that only
she could get away with: "You're
bananas! "and, " You crazy old coot!".
............ luck today, Karen. I love
Sinata song, That's Life", about "getting
back in the race"! Hope that for you, too.

Deb, it's PERFECT on Neck. No jacket
needed. They used to call this, Indian
    Summer, but that's probably politically
    incorrect like everything else! Lou

Hello everyone I overwhelmed myself yesterday trying to keep up with all the posts. I’m going to take George’s advice and do this at my own pace. Love you all. Moderation moderation moderation. Gary

Gary, my method is to try to reply, in the
morning, ovet coffee, when I'm at my best
I check in with Deb first, bc she writes to
me every day. Lately, I've been doing that
with Karen, too. George does shorter
posts, but I try to answer him later, as well
as you. Funny that women come first! I've
also known them longer than you&others
here. Now, PJ had just joined us from Maine, and all of us are welcoming her.
Try to do it in stages, Gary. Your
    meditations are great. Lou

    Lou,

I agree with you. I try so hard not to offend anyone, by saying anything that's politically incorrect, the reason why I called manic depression bipolar disorder. However, since I read that both you and Karen prefer to call it by it's original name, I will too. It's so hard to keep up with all of this...

On to better things, if I close my eyes, I can (almost) imagine I'm back in New England, enjoying a perfect fall day, just like the one you're having today... I'm glad Mother Nature is being so kind to your beautiful town. Enjoy to the max!!!

    Karen,

Almost missed this one, thanks for making me laugh, something we can never get enough of, total understatement!!! (the last one just seemed to type itself).
I'm happy for your granddaugher. I hope she loves her new job.
