Yes yes yes itz no fun without Valerie being there to chuckle about the inanity. I liked ancient aliens and the pawn shop in Vegas and american pickerz all phony as hell but so much fun to watch with my best friend. Now I just listen to music a lot.

Awe man! I totally agree with you. Some shows cross the line from interesting to sad. Everything makes me upset these daze. ... I can't stand hoarders.. fortunately when we got rid of satellite she stopped watching that. but TB watches it on streaming when I know he's in a messed up mood. The last TeeVee I remember watching with her was stuff on her laptop like some guy who eats noodles a lot and travels and Hell's Kitchen on TooYoob! Lets see how long I stay on line this Saturday. Itz still raining here!

Yup, right there with you. For a long time I didn’t listen to music either. Too emotional. But I’m getting better with that slowly. No music in the car. I just can’t.
Here a little tidbit of info. My son in law while in Vegas went to check out the Pawn Stars place. He saw people wrapped around the outside of the store in line to get in. Must have been a day of filming. The next time he drove by no one was there.

Wow, George, Linda & I loved Pawn
Stars, with grouchy Rick, his grouchy
big son, & even grouchier "Old Man",
Rick's father, now deceased. We didn't
like the dumb Chumley, who later had to
leave show for unsavory, illegal activities.
We also got a kick out of American Pickers
and the many states they visited. I choose
not to have a TV with cable. I'd rather
spend money on my phone & look at the
Internet. How's the weather in Illinois?
We had a big storm on Tues. Rain all day
today. Nov. will be 40s temps, as usual. Lou

Lou itz been raining nonstop for this the third day. So true about those pawn dudes. and never liked that Chumley. My wife really hated the people at the shop but was interested in the items. Me I didn't care too much it was all just entertainment. I actually visited the picker dudes in Iowa when I was up and around doing stuff. That main picker dude was at his shop and was very cool. He even signed a photo for Valerie which I kept! So nice to talk to you Lou!

Ha very interesting about the line. I always wondered about stuff like that. The reason I can listen to music is it wasn't Valerie's thing like internets and TeeVee... I just realized this. Music was more of my thing... Take care. Lets see how long I can stay on line for! LOL!

    Hi Lou,

It was so nice to see my friend, and of course, one of my very favorite fur babies. As usual, we talked and talked and talked and talked, etc., etc. etc ..., alternating between happy and sad, smiles and tears. We talked about "Permission To Mourn," especially about the part where Tom Zuba talks about his belief that we're all here for just the right amount of time. We have trouble accepting this, but believe things happen for purpose even though we don't always understand that purpose. We both agree that we just need to trust in God...

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better!!! I'm also glad that you got to spend some time with Steven and Betsy, but sorry that because of Mother Nature, their vacation was cut short. It's good that you're home resting instead of going to the Legion, but hope both you and N. will able to see each other there next Saturday morning. Sort of on, sort of off topic, I'm looking forward to hearing about all of your soon to be adventures in Gloucester this winter. Backing up a bit, sorry about Abby at the Shack. Bad service can really trash what would have been a fun evening out, TU!!! I'm thinking especially about one really bad dining experience, but stopping here, before I even begin to get going!!!

As soon as it warms up, although I think I'm probably still going to need to dress in layers, I'm going to get a walk in.

I hope that by this time tomorrow, your cold will (almost) be history!!!

Having trouble with my internet service this morning. It's taking me f o r e v e r !!! to "talk" to you , so going to end this and try again later.

As always, sending you hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

That's great that the tall Picker dude
signed a photo for Valerie. His voice
grated on me after a while. I preferred
the quieter shorter guy, who looked
sullen sometimes. He loved his beer
though! Didn't know what to make of
their co worker, the tattooed woman, who
sent them out on their missions. Lou

    Lou,

Very quick reply. I think my chrome book needs a hit of caffeine... Like you and Linda, Bob and I loved Pawn Stars and American Pickers. I didn't like watching repeats, although Bob liked watching repeats of not only these shows, but also of Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush. I didn't get into Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush, and haven't seen a full episode of either one of them. Stopping here... I think my chrome book needs lots more than a hit of caffeine...

    Good Morning, George,

Having trouble with my internet service, and think I missed some of your messages, but saw this one to Lou. I love that you got to see one of the guys from American Pickers and that he signed a picture for Valerie. It's nice to hear that he's a "cool" person too. I always wonder if the so called reality stars are actually who they appear to be while on the screen... Another one of those TBC's, but with this foggy widow brain, I'm sure I'll forget.

Good to "see" you here today...

As always, sending you hugs, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

Deb, I was just about to send you a message this Sat am, & there you were!
So glad you & your friend get a lot out of
Zuba s book, as does Gary. I couldn't accept
that idea by Zuba, until I saw Linda's
nursing home across from Kim's Tea Room, on Thurs morning, after the storm.
I'm grateful that Kim gave me an English
tea lunch to bring to Linda, that we could
share together. She would put miniature
HEATH bars in the bag, which was funny
bc that was the name of the restaurant,
started by her parents. Linda's favorite
nurse, Alice, about Linda's age, told me
that Linda died suddenly, & didn't know
what hit her. Had she lived, Linda would
have faced an uncertain time frame of
battling cancer & pain. Her death, though
crushing for me at the time, & very sad
for me, at times, today, brought Kim,
& her 2 kids, and Kim's parents into my
life, when I needed them the most. I
praise them to the skies, to whomever I meet. Since I can't ever have Linda by
my side physically ever again, I am
grateful to God and to Linda, that
Linda's death, as horrible as it was for
me, took me to the welcoming small
seaside town of Rockport, and also placed me in the Shack where I met Steven and Betsy a year after Linda died, when I needed them the most. My belief in God has been been strengthened. I never looked at the
ocean as intently as I do now, and be in
awe of God's beauty. I'm having coffee &
a big breakfast at Two Little Birds Eatery,
across from the beach. I'm in wonder at
the wild surf under gray skies. I wanted
to come here before the all day rain
today. I will text Steven to tell him they
made a wise choice, in leaving early. I
may walk down to Neck tomorrow, with
a little sadness, bc it's the last day of the
season for Roy Moore Lobster Co., a take
out window on the Neck. It's owned by
a great guy, whose wife runs the Shack.
I'd love to hear your bad restaurant
experience sometime. When Linda & I
dined at an outdoor restaurant in LA,
our phony waiter ignored us, in order
to serve a large party, for more tips.
Linda never did that when she was a waitress. When we left, Linda told me to
just leave a very small tip in change.
When the waiter saw the pitiful tip,
he suddenly paid attention to us, &
turned to me as we were leaving, & said,
"Lovely, sir, lovely". Linda & I used that
phrase for years, & always laughed. As
Linda would say, "don't mess with us"!!
In the spirit of there are no coincidences.
your message arrived at the same time
as an email from Jonathan, showing him
smiling with fellow authors on a book
tour. He gets around! I urge you to get

Hey, George, I was just watching Jonathan
on YouTube. It's great to see him smiling
again & talking with other writers. You
may want to take a break from your
    depressing, rainy Sat afternoon, and
check him out. As I told Deb, I'm on his

Yes we found it interesting too. He sent us a picture. But no idea where it is now. So, music is easier for you then. That helps. If Ron was home, tv was on. We even had a tv in our shop. We had an upholstery shop and if we were sewing we could watch. I only put tv on in the evenings. It feels to hard. Hope you’re having a good day

Deb, hope you get the Internet problem
fixed soon. I miss you, especially on this
gray. rainy Sat. I did go out to breakfast at
Two Little Birds Eatery, partly to see the
wild ocean waves across the street. I ran into Gary, who dedicated a song to Linda &
me, last Aug. in Millbrook Meadow, and
again, recently at the Whale's Jaw Cafe, The
great news is that he has a music gig ( he
sings & plays guitar) at the cafe on Sat &
Sun, noon 'til 2pm. Taking shower now.
    Pedicure tomorrow afternoon!! Lou
