Paulette, I am honored and happy that
you replied to me. I am so grateful you
decided to stay with Grief in Common
(GIC). My heart goes out to you. Thank
you for sharing the fact that your
husband was a brave Vietnam Navy
hero who had a purple heart. I am your
age, but had a high lottery draft number
during the Vietnam war. But, I go to an
open house coffee at the American Legion
post, every Sat am. Even though I'm the
only non veteran, they greet me warmly,
bc I support the military. My 2 friends
are a Korean War vet, 92, whose wife died,
after many years of marriage, and an
Army veteran, 34, of Afganistan. The
young veteran had PTSD. & respects me,
bc I had PTSD, when my wife, Linda,
    died suddenly, from a pulmonary
embolism, right in front of me. I may
have asked you before, but what was
your husband's name.? I think it helps to
heal, to honor his memory, by saying his
name. This group is kind. Right now.we
have 5 widowers, and 7 widows, including
you if you stay on GIC. Lou
