    My tears form a river
    That is carrying me back

Beautiful B. These words express exactly what goes through my mind, as I look at the world around me, but just haven't been able to find the right words to describe this feeling.
    Thank you.

    The Window by Rumi

Your body is away from me
but there is a window open
    from my heart to yours.
From this window, like the moon
    I keep sending news secretly

    Unknown Author

The sky cried with me today.
I let the rain come down hard
over me and felt you in every drop.
It's as if even the heavens
    know you belong on Earth

Thank you, Helena, such wonderful comforting words. I hope you are not having trouble sleeping, I'm up early this morning to go shopping with my mother, as later on, our scorching temperatures will reach 40 Celsius again (about 100F) and it will be impossible to be out and about in that heat.
Wishing you and Bernadine a good night's sleep.
    Rose.

    MY CONSTANT COMPANION

    Grief is my companion,
It takes me by the hand,
    And walks along beside me
in a dark and barren land
    How long will this
    lonesome journey last,
How much more can my weary heart bear?
Since your death, I've been lost in the fog,
Too burdened with sorrow and care.
People tell me my sadness will fade,
And my tears will reach their end.
Grief and I must complete our journey,
And then maybe I'll find happiness again.

Helena, at the funeral of my wife, Linda,
the 23rd Psalm was read. In my darkest
hour, usually after a sad dream about
Linda, I walk outside , to the ocean, see
the sun shining on the water, and feel
grateful to God for being alive. Lou

    The Constant Pain of
The Constant Loss. Is it Wednesday again. Oh the time it blinders about in blunders of
    Outside noise and bird cheers
    Usual bowl of oatmeal
    Don't want to eat.
Don't really want anything I can have
    Bright Blue Ice Cream
    Dazzlingly Blue
    Artificially Blue
A blue that mustn't exist in the real of Physick
    or fantasy...
Life is like a Bowl of Water

, I know it SUCKS BIG TIME!!!, as our
friend, Deb, always says, due to the
endless , bittersweet nature of the grief
over the cruel deaths of our soulmates.
It isn't fair, George, it isn't right. Valerie
and Linda were supposed to grow old
with us. F**K. I'm sitting in a cafe, by a
small harbor, looking at a pair of ducks,
    a male mallard & a female, gliding
effortlessly on the water. If reincarnation
exists, I'd like Linda & I to come back as
    ducks, after I die. Lou

Damn amazing! Ducks that is so cool. You are so lucky. Hear at the Compound they are paving the parking lots and in between the truck beep and groan we get the Lawn-Scapers doin' their loudly mow-ie thang. I don't know what it is or why but the last several months have been some of the worst since she was a dyin'

Lou, I like your duck reincarnation wishes. I have a male and female pair of ducks that are in my yard every spring without fail. We usually miss when the eggs hatch but one year we saw the female ushering the babies to the water. They actually stay in puddles around the area until the ducklings hatch. I have so many of nature’s little critters in my yard. It’s like a sanctuary here. Ducks and rabbits, also found mice eww. I have a deer who eats my plants and roses. More birds then I can list. All of nature is helping me heal.
Last night I went to a concert. My daughter won tickets at work. She actually won them last year but the Dierks Bentley concert got canceled because of covid. We saw The Dave Matthews band last night in an outside arena on the waters edge. It was a very nice night, beautiful weather. Robin

Wow, Robin, wonderful duck story. I'm
also happy that you could see Dave
Matthews ( very popular ) , by the water.
As you know, music & water feed my
soul. When I can get them together, like
you did, it's special. After the Fourth, the
American Legion Post will have rock
band concerts across from the beach, at
    sunset. Lou

The little ducklings are the cutest tiny little things trying to keep up with their Mom.
Yes Dave Matthews band is awesome. We got to watch them from her companies private box. Private bathroom and our sponsee payed for all the food and beverage. The band did not disappoint. Ron would have loved the concert. Robin

Robin, I finally got over the guilt that
Linda's not here , physically, to enjoy
the live music, and to meet my friend,
who plays drums, and to meet his
wife of 50 years. Like us, they have no
children, and we could've had a great
time together. The cafe, with music,
opened a year ago. I've known my
friend for a short time , but we're the
same age, & connect on so many levels.
Most importantly, we can talk about
everything, and I always have a LMSO.

So glad to make you chuckle, Bernadine.
I've liked ducks, since I was a boy.
There's a statue in Boston , honoring the
famous children's book, Make Way for
Ducklings. Robin sees a lot of ducks &
other wildlife, & liked my story, too. Deb
is MIA this week, but I hope Karen sees
my post , bc we talk about the afterlife. L

Lou, I was so touched by your description of you sitting by the harbour and watching those lovely ducks, thinking of your Linda. Seems like a scene from a film, the place where you live sounds wonderful, being able to go for walks along the ocean, breathing in that beautiful air.
    Have a good day Lou.
