Hello everyone, My losses span several years. My husband died seven years ago, followed by the loss of a dear friend a year later. My mother died about 19 months ago, and I made the painful decision to help my 20 year old cat to die 9 months ago. I am just looking for a community of grievers who are willing to listen, willing to share and willing to love and support each other. My life has felt rudderless for the last seven years. It’s been a blessing and a curse. I hope anything that I have written here resonates with some of you. This season is a particularly painful one. I find my stamina as a writer diminished in a way that I am ill equipped to characterize. But I am here. Here’s hoping that I won’t discover that I am the last person alive on earth. Sorry.
