Thank you for your moving post, Gary.I do enjoy reaching out to new members, like
Rick, Tom, and Chad. I'm glad that Chad is
spending Christmas with his brother in
Arkansas. I also liked welcoming Paulette,
my age ,widow of a brave Vietnam vet, and
Leyna, only 42, who needs our help, bc of the recent death of her young husband,
JR. I'm curious about what part of the U.S.
our potential new members are from. In
reading Leyna's info, I read that she's in your state, Nobody is in mine right now,
but some members have visited here. You
were right that I was depressed. I got
tired of texting this am, and I made
surprise phone calls to a buddy in Florida,
who I met here last Aug ( he stays in a
cottage with long time girlfriend, in my
town, every summer), and a married
college classmate on Cape Cod. Those 2
calls gave me a lift, in addition to a
brisk walk to the store. Lou

Its cool to hear from you. I don't want much some peace and calm in a season of hectic seeming folly. I don't know who I am these daze. I am so disassociated from the herd. You could use my antlers for a cane since I am an ampelopie. I miss her so F much!!!

George I felt bad when I had a LMSO after reading your post I could use your antlers. Do you have any photos of you and Valerie that would bring you some peace? Did you see what Lou just did? He reached out in the darkness and found a friend. It’s the action we take that sets us free Bro. Do you know anyone who could use some encouragement? You could give them a call. Make a list of all the accomplishments you’ve made In the last two months. And read them again. Have you looked for an exercise bike or treadmill? Keep on trucking. You can do it Ampelopie!!! Hey, George! I agree with everything
our wise middle brother, Gary, just
said to you, especially the part where he
praised me!! I wish we could use emojis
on GIC, bc I would insert a mischievous
laughing face here. I've become a master
at sprinkling emojis to enhance my texts,
and amuse friends, both local & long
distance, and I get a kick out of receiving
them in return. I bet Deb, " total
    understatement!!!, Karen, Stacey,
Bernadine, and you, are pros at it. Am I
right? I know Deb and Chad are away, but
I hope Rick, Stacey, and Tom will join us
tonight, on Christmas Eve, and tomorrow,
if possible, on Christmas Day. Lou

THANKS, GEORGE :p:D;)! An older man
    learned something new tonight, from
Bernadine:)! Hope I don't get carried
away, but it certainly lifted my mood, & I
didn't feel as lonely, when I heard from
my GW. Is TB cooking for you, I hope? Lou

We got Chinese take out barbecued pork with pan fried noodles for me. Just being mellow with TGWs and the radio.

George, I just ate a very good Amy's
BOWLS gluten free dinner ( Mexican
Tortillla Casserole & Black Beans). It
was in the oven for 45 min, and just
right for me tonight. I feel grateful to God,
to be in my robe, in my warm apartment,
with hot food & tea on the table. I know
what it was like when Linda and I hit
hard times, lived in our car, & ate
potato chips and drank soda, one
terrible Thanksgiving. Thank God, we got
some help later. Every Thanksgiving, we
would be served in a quiet restaurant.
She would look at me, and say, we deserve
this. Remember.......? I like to recall good
times like that, and was happy Linda
    lived to see them. Lou

Lou, wanted to check on you. I see you had a nice meal and you’re enjoying the warmth of your apartment. I know today was extra hard on you, sounds like you’re managing to get through.
Kim is a very giving, caring person, I’m sure she will come through for you and make sure your wishes are granted. The older man I mentioned a while back has a family who has agreed to make sure his ashes are joined with his wife and scattered together. He has the legal papers already signed.
    Take care, Robin

Reading about your moment of peace was very inspiring. Things have been too heavy here lately. This too shall pass I know.

Gary, I’m glad you enjoyed the heart in the sawdust story. Makes me cry every time I think of it. That was such a lonely scary time. Finding the heart with our initials was so sad yet I felt his love like he was there with me. I know how difficult it can be resolving bills and sharing the loss with a total stranger. You were lucky to have such a compassionate person helping you through. I think we’re so used to dealing on our own and no one even asking how we are that a compassionate person opens the water works. I know that happens to me, ask me how I’m doing and I start crying, because it’s nice to have someone care. Watching Christmas Story marathon, family tradition. Robin

Robin, it means s lot to me that you &
George reached out to me tonight. Karyn
Arnold invented a wonderful site. I know
how sad, isolated, & angry I felt when I
    couldn't communicate with TGW during
    the infamous Halloween reboot, which
now seems so long ago. After dinner, I did
what I've usually done, these cold, dark
early, winter nights: took a nap from 8:30
to 9:30pm. I was so happy to find to you &
George just now. So glad you're watching
Christmas Story. When Linda & I watched,
we got a kick out of the father's obsession
with a female leg lamp. We also loved the
Chinese restaurant scene at the end. I watched some Seinfeld episodes , on my
phone, which I didn't recall. As I told
Gary earlier, I was depressed this am, I
received texts from a buddy in Florida and
a college classmate on Cape Cod, both of
whom love the ocean as I do. I decided to
call them to wish them a Merry Christmas,
bc I wanted to hear their voices. They were
pleasantly surprised, and we had a few
laughs. When I got off the phone, I felt so
much better. Tonight, as I awoke from my
nap, I was about to hug Linda, realized I
    couldn't, cried a little, in guilt, that I didn't
hug her enough, and got out of bed to
check GIC. I have to say that if I do have
a relationship with another woman, long
hugs will be a top priority. Bernadine
taught me how to do an emoji on GIC,
so I'll end this post with :);):p:D. Lou

Beautiful, Robin, a very Merry Christmas
to you and your family. Not sure how you
sent that picture to GIC, bc I'm technology
deficient. But, and this is another one
of those "BIG BUTS!!!" ( as our traveling
Deb says), Bernadine taught me this, which
I'll try not to abuse: :):D Lou
