It’s been 8 months since I lost my husband

I read your story about your husband's passing eight months ago. I am saddened by your story but can relate, because my wife, Patti, passed just two months ago at t he age of 72. We were married for about 30 years. It still seems sort of surreal, which, I understand is completely normal. I live here in Phoenix, Arizona and in the central Arizona mountains near Prescott. A little about me. I am a retired Director of Quality Management in the behavioral health field, and hold a Master of Public Administration degree from Arizona State University. I enjoy my two new and luxury motorcycle, a home in both Phoenix and in central Arizona, and sports cars (actually giving my corvette convertible to my nephew, so down to just one sports car), licensed amateur radio operator, and daily gym workouts. Although it has been very recent, I find I am happier dating and making new female friends. I am not used to living alone and my ultimate desire is to find a woman that will be my best friend, like my late wife Patti, and hopefully start a long term relationship. I will be 71 on the fourth of July, but can do almost everything I could do decades ago. Not sure if I can ride a bicycle across the western America or fly a plane again, but, who knows? I just joined this website a few minutes ago and perhaps I can create an ongoing dialogue with a women who has also lost her spouse. Thanks for reading this post.
