Michael, I am glad you are better. I recognize your strength in fighting for optimism and hope in the face of your great loss. I'm rooting for you. Pets, and especially for me, dogs, are the reason I still have Faith in this world. I look at my little guy and marvel at his beauty, his perfection in his innocence, his kindness and all his daily efforts to protect me from everything he deems a threat- paper bags, leaves, the vacuum cleaner. Since David passed he is now doing something, though, that I will have to address at some point. He is so hypervigilant now that when there is a knock at the door he chases me, barking and nips at my leg. I know he is trying to stop me, save me from whatever lies behind that door, but it hurts! God has taught mankind a beautiful lesson with the gift of dogs. We have to learn from them how to have unconditional love, how to forgive, how to be loyal. My heart goes out to you, Michael, I know something of your beautiful sensitivity and how it has laid bare your heart to immense grief. Blessings and prayers for you.
