A dreary day in which at least i got out. Didn't feel like it didn't want to but needed to. 2021 sure did suck a lot! Take care Bro!

George, I hate the chills most of all, but
don't want to go into the hospital, so I'll
stay home, like Robin is, until I feel better.

How are you feeling Lou? Hope you’re doing some better. Too many people go out and don’t think about other people who could catch what they have. Like happened to you. I can’t wait for the warm weather to be back. Stay warm, feel better. Robin

Lou, I didn't know you were so sick. I've been here with no power since Sunday and heaps of snow so I couldn't get on the forum. I'm pretty stuck here. I truly hope you get on the mend soon and I know you are very careful with your health which is good. Take care, Karen I probably won't be on line too much for awhile have to dig myself out of the driveway. K

I thought to myself this morning, I just feel exhausted inside. And I think being patient is tiring in itself. I keep hoping for something to happen that I can at least smile about. Having pets is definitely a huge step in that direction. So, a step forward for you and me too someday. Peace my friend. Rick

Me and Sheila always marked thing's on our calendar's over the years. Lots of Dr.'s appointments and such, this years will be much less important and very much empty without her notes and input. Another lonely reminder I guess. It was our easy diary so to speak. Hope you find some peace and comfort in the coming year. Rick

That"s awful about your snow & losing
power, Karen. Do you have heat? Last time,
I lost heat, Kim let me use her fridge & stay
overnight at the home of her parents who
are down in Florida. Thankfully , we don't
have the heavy snow that you & Gary
have right now. I'm staying warm inside,
like Robin is. This feels like it alternates
between fever & chills, & will last at least
    7 days. I'm in bed, wearing a sweatshirt,&
hope to sweat out this nasty stuff. I have
.Smart Phone in bed,so I can check in with
GW later. Hope you get back online soon. L

Karen, I’m so sorry you’ve been without power for so long. I’m concerned you’re freezing in your home. Be careful shoveling, I wish you had help.
Take care, stay in touch when you can. Robin

Gary, I tell Sheila "it was not your fault you had to die" just like you tell your beloved. Your words hit me to the core for I feel the same way, but I'm not as good as you are putting my feelings down. I believe when my time is done, like you said, me and Sheila will be together again too. I'm moving ever so slowly forward I guess. But I don't know why, is what I am having trouble with. Peace be with you and us all in the coming year. Rick

Thank you , Robin, I'm in bed with my
Smart Phone & just heard from poor
Karen, who lost power & has a ton of
snow, like Gary. I'll go to sleep now, &
check in,with TGW later. Hope you're
feeling better, too. This looks like a nasty
7 day proposition of fever, chills, and
    exhaustion for me. Lou

I hope you get to feeling better. I guess nothing could be worse than being sick, and missing your Love. Wishing you peace in the coming year, here in Texas we are supposed to get a winter blast this weekend, but back out of here quickly. Stay safe and warm. Rick

Ok Lou, Get some rest. I’m doing ok. I’m mainly being careful. My daughter is so worried I’ll catch something. I had a headache earlier so I decided to stay in, but I’m doing better now. But thank you for caring. That’s all it takes lately to bring tears. Someone caring. Thank you for that. ❤️ Robin.

Just checked my Smart Phone & was happy
to see you & Chad. He wished he could send
some Texas heat my way. Listen to your
    daughter, Robin! Lou

Hey, Chad, just checked my Smart Phone
next to my bed, and saw you & Robin, both
wishing me well. Damn! Some of that
Texas sun & heat sounds great right now.
I miss my friend, who's like a daughter to
me, bc she took her 2 kids to Florida. I texted her that I wished they stuck me
on a beach somewhere. There is a new
    widower Mark, (markbeth) who "listens"
to us brothers , and taps a "LIKE" to
some of our comments. He lives in
Florida, which seems to be the best
    climate right now! Lou

Good morning Grief Warriors. Rick it is good to see your posts and hearing you express your feelings. I feel I’ve become a hermit since Cheryl passed in order to protect myself. Lately I find myself going a little further back into my cave. I missed In succession a Christmas gathering a grief support meeting and a aa meeting. I know we have to deal with set backs. There is no way I’m giving up. But I have to be honest that I can feel my old friend depression is near. My mantra is to stumble forward. I try to live in the moment and not look too far into the future. because the future looks bad right now. Morning meditation readings, light therapy, a good breakfast, physical therapy, staying sharp games on aarp.org ,40 minutes on the exercise bike is a routine I can’t afford to miss. If I had to pick the most valuable asset of 2021 I would have to pick TGW on GIC. I can’t imagine feeling the loneliness and isolation now. Thank God for all my dear friends here. Gary

Since I've moved I can't seem to get it together and am getting massively depressed like before. Hope it's just holiday stuff and winter coming on finally. Got to gp in early for dialysis today. I see a crust of thin snow on the car. At least no driveway to clear1

George I think the lack of sunlight is affecting us all. These dark days will pass soon. At least the light will be increasing. Keep believing in yourself Bro. Sending you a virtual hug. Gary
