    Lou,

Reading your response made me reach for another tissue... I'm an emotional mess, but at the same time, okay. I believe there is a reason for everything, even if we don't know what the reason is right away. As Patti said, and I agree, God has a plan for every one of us. We just need to trust Him.

I'm so glad you're a "glass full" kind of man. I think having a positive outlook, no matter what "garbage" is thrown at us, is so necessary in order to be able to move forward, to continue to heal... I try to find something positive about every negative thing that happens to me. I also pray daily to God, to give me the strength I need to to continue healing, and to give my GIC family the strength needed too, as we all continue along this miserable path (for lack of a better word), that NOT!!! one of us would have chosen to take. We're in this together... Although so bittersweet..., it's such a comforting feeling.

Sending you lots of hugs and love, wishing you peace, all of us peace. DEB

    An Irish blessing/prayer:

    In Time of Sorrow…

May you see God’s light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
    May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
    May you always remember
    when the shadows fall –
    You do not walk alone.

Thank you, Helena. I need this today, bc I
was struggling with all 3: past, present,
& future (without Linda by my side). Lou

Rita, I went to an Irish Session. The 1st
time, I cried at a sad ballad about a man
who lost his love. The 2nd time I went, I
experienced the joy of the group, singing &
    playing musical instruments of another
era, and I did not feel as alone. Lou

Today I have checked into Heartbreak Hotel, and Mr Grief is standing outside the door, I'm waiting for him to move on so I can step into the light again.
The pain really sucks!!! Sorry, sending hugs, comfort, peace and wishing you all a better day than I am having at the moment......hope you smile in the sunshine, Rita

Rita, I call this roller coaster of grief, in
    Gary's "twisted amusement park rides",
    "intermittent"joy & sadness, like sun&
dark clouds. It SUCKS BIG TIME!!!, as our
dear friend, funny, angry, &sad Deb says.
Just wrote to you about Linda's sad ,
    sedentary decline,as I watched-- helplessly.
I made her a promise to try to be healthy &
even happy in the remaining years of my
life on earth. God Bless you, Rita. Lou

Thanks, Helena. I needed that this am.
I was enjoying music in my apartment,
& felt a pang of guilt, bc Linda, who
loved music, isn't here to enjoy it with
    me. Lou

Good Morning Lou, enjoying music it is also the best way to spend on your own, and of course depends of the music. Linda must be present on your thoughts, that is nice to remember the good times together, ALWAYS remember the best times of your lives. Wishing you a peaceful day full of good energy!! Helena

And crappy, cold, lonely winters to
appreciate spring & summer sun, warmth,
and smiling faces of friends. Thanks for
    yet another saying, Helena! Lou
