My dad passed 21 yrs ago, my mom just passed end of March of this year. I have a couple blood relatives, but they didnt come to my moms service for lame reasons which really upsets me. I had my dads cousin come to my moms, but he didnt talk to us for years before and nothing after so I think he came to find out what happened and that was it. I am so dissapointed in so many people. I had support during everything, but once the funeral was done, so were the phone calls or texts asking how I am doing. That hurts.

I feel for you. I just lost my father 2 weeks ago. Had a lot of support at the time. Already the phone calls are slowing. I was my father's only child but he also raised my mother's 4 when he married her. So I am the youngest. Also alone. I was caring for him for 6 years while living with him and now that he's gone, I have the added stress of finding my own place. My mother passed 7 months ago with Alzheimers. So he pretty much went downhill after that. If you need an ear, I'm here. It's a hard time.

My dad passed away 12 years ago, and my mom just passed away this month. I was the caregiver for both, especially for my mom for the time since my father passed away. Once the funeral is over, you never hear from anyone again. I am single since no time for socializing as looking after my mom was a 24/7 job especially the last few years. So I understand what you are going through as well. Just being in the house alone, no calls to check on you is very hard. Just trying to make it through one day at a time. That's the only advice I can give you as it is tough.

I made a video for my moms bday and shared it on FB just talking about her a little bit. I decided I will just keep bringing it up and sharing about my parents on FB so the memories will come up each year and people will know about her. Any way to share her life from now on with people in some way is important

Anyone still here? Just seems like people dont get that the funeral is over for them, but the pain stays for the family and close friends , but I get that lives go on, but I feel like Ive been forgotten by so many

Trying one more time, if anyone is here still , I dont really talk to many people but I feel comfortable on here because there are others that understand

So sorry for your loss. I just lost my mom not even three weeks ago, unexpectedly. I had an abusive father that I am no contact with. I have no other blood relatives. I am an only child.

I am still here too. Same as you just trying to get through one day at a time by myself.

I feel like after my mom passed, my life changed in ways I didnt expect. Very dissapointed in a lot of people I just assumed would be there and check in or something, but it didnt happen that way. I feel like the image I had growing up of some people was just made up in my head. Feel like I need to clean out my friends and family

I lost my Dad in June of 2023 suddenly while my wife and I were on a trip. I never got to say goodbye. This was while my sweet Mom was battling Multiple Myeloma and then I lost here in October of 2024. They were both only 67 years old. I am an only child and My Mom and Dad were my best friends. I miss them so much that it's unbearable somedays.

Everything is different. I feel that thinking about my past sometimes is someone elses. I just dont care about things like I did. I feel I died with my mom but still living. Im sure others can relate. It will be a year she has been gone in the 28th of this month

I really feel your pain. The same happened to me. My heart is so broken because of the same thing. If you figure out what makes the pain go away, please let me know. Im so traumatized and My Heart longs for my Family but they are not here anymore. Your Friend Roger

Im so sorry for you Roger. It really does suck. The first year I felt like I was just going thru the day not knowing who I was, just so lost. I decided to just do what I like and not care about anything as much anymore., I got involved in doing crafts so that keeps me busy besides work
