I recently loss my husband after taking care of him his last 3 years of life due to Diabetic, Renal Failure and Double Amputee. It has been hard to move forward. Feel like I am numb and in a still stage of life.
Kittyrg10237 I read you very poignant post about your husband. If my wife Patti would have lived, she would have at least one leg amputated. Patti was also an insulin dependent diabetic who suffered from kidney failure towards the end of her life. I wish you al the best, from Arizona out to your state of Texas. Can related to grieving the loss of a spouse, that is for sure. Don Castle Phoenix, Arizona
What has been helpful for me is to stay busy and keep my mind occupied. And accept our grieving as a very normal reaction to an abnormal and tragic event. Engaging with others is helpful, too. It almost seems surreal at times as the mind struggles to accept the reality of the tragic event. Like perhaps you and others, grieving is worse on some days, better on other days. This is normal, too. I wish you all the best, and feel free to text me at 602-809-4978 if you would like. Take good care, kittyrg102371, Don Castle Retired Director, behavioral health field.
