Rose thank you so much for sharing! Love the ray of sunshine you provided for us all. So beautiful! My daffodils are full with buds, I have tulips and hyacinth coming up. And so many day lilies. Gives me hope. I love the rebirth that happens in the spring. Hope mine have flowers soon too. Robin

Thanks, BroGeo! I'm amazed and proud of myself, for asking women , who I don't
know, to dance fast with me. Back before
    Linda, I needed "courage"after drinking
beer, to ask a woman to dance. When
Linda & I met at a party, we were both
sober, and danced before the evening was
    over. Lousterino
Rose, thank you for the beautiful flower
photos. I love the sound of the first birds
of spring. When I see my first robin, I
will be happy bc spring is near....Lou

Bravissimo! A lovely threesome. Amazing how you manage to portray so many different shades of colour and shapes, all combined perfectly together.

Thank you Robin, hoping to see pictures of your flowers blooming soon. In fact, this time of year makes me think of Louis Armstrong's "What a wonderful world". I've started playing it again on our piano, after two years of not being able to anymore.

Louster, I'm happy for you that you're back on the dance floor, just like I'm back on my singing and playing the piano again, even though I have to stop every now and then to stop the tears and gain control.
    Happy "bird listening" Don Lou.

La Vie En Rose, Louis Armstrong version, is
another uplifting song I've been playing
lately ( and , like you, couldn't play it
before,on my Smart Phone). It means "to
see life in pink" , to look on the bright
side of life. It's taken over 4 years since
Linda's death, for my transformation into
someone who could dance with women
again. Recently, a waitress in my local
bar/ restaurant saw a video of me ,
dancing fast ( & one slow one) with a
widow friend. She did an imitation of me,
walking very slowly, like an old man, with
Linda's cane, and suddenly tossing it in
the air, with a smile , and fast dance. The
owners of the place saw the same video
the waitress saw, and couldn't believe it.
Everyone laughed , incl me. Some saw a
"chemistry" between the widow and me,
but the fact is that neither one of us wants
to get married, or even live with someone
again. We like our quiet apartments, and
the freedom to come & go. I don't cry on
weekend mornings now, bc I'm planning
where to go dancing with my friends
at night. Don Louster, the Dancer

I’ll definitely share pictures of my flowers when they’re blooming. The daffodils look like they’re about to burst. What a Wonderful World is perfect for this time of year. I can almost hear you playing it so beautifully. I’m so happy for you that you’re able to play your it again.

I think I'm back on GIC. They had a technical issue and I couldn't get on the site. Karen

Yay, Ms. Hum! Just checked , and you're
right, I wondered if the GIC glitch was
caused by either the time change, or
worse, hacking. The last time this happened , a fellow GW member
"started a conversation" , privately, via
email , at first, leading to texting and,
occasional phone calls. I know you're
happy to get together with another
widow from GIC in Calif. I'm glad I
can communicate off grid, even if there's
no other member with whom I can
meet face to face in Massachusetts.
It's past my bedtime ( though I've been
out dancing to bands past midnight on
    weekends). Sweet dreams, Ms. Hum.
We may get heavy winds & a few inches
of snow next 2 days, but I hope it won't
hinder me from walking. Hope your
    Calif weather has improved. Lousterino

Louster and Ms Hum, so glad to hear from you and so relieved to see GIC working again. I couldn't log in for two days and I actually emailed the site and asked for help. Karyn Arnold very kindly replied quickly saying there was a technical problem and would sort it out asap.
Have you already had your time change? We don't get that until the last weekend of this month. We've been having sunny, mild weather lately but it may get colder in the next few days here too.

Good to see everyone and the site up and running. Rose I’m impressed that you were able to email Karyn Arnold. Yes we had our time change this past Sunday. I’m happy that you’re having some mild weather, that feels so nice after the dark cold winter. A nice break before it turns cold again. I’ve had some nasty weather and a nor’easter right now. But managing ok. Getting some snow today. I think Lou will get more snow then me. Like to say hi to all our friends and hope everyone is ok. welcome back! Robin

Morning, Robin! Yes, you & I get the same
crap weather, but not exactly at the
same time. I hear the howling winds,
rain, and raging ocean, from inside my
warm apartment. It may turn to a snowy
mixture, as it gets colder. The weird thing
is that I hear a bird tweeting, as if to say,
"Alright already, time for spring, now that
we adjusted our clocks !". This won't stop
me. A friend is picking me up to go to
the reopening of our local cafe, which
has been closed 2 weeks for vacation.
We hope to have hot soup, wraps, and
coffee, and listen to a singer/ guitarist
at lunchtime. John Travolta Lou is
looking forward to a weekend of
dancing with my 2 male buddies
( we call ourselves The Three Amigos,
but others call us The Three Stooges).
We are joined by 3 wild , fun women
who have dragged us out on the dance
floor where we dance 'til midnight.
I'm going by the old adage, to treat every
day as if it were our last. This is especially
poignant for me, bc I have to see a
specialist for a medical issue next month,
and I don't want to worry about it. Lou

Lou you and George made my morning better cause you each brought a smile. Calling yourself John Trovalta. Love it. Lou you’ve come a long way since first joining GIC. I know Linda is watching and smiling. I’m hearing the winter birds chirping and singing too, I plan to fill Ron’s feeder so they have food before the storm gets too bad. It was nasty over night now not as bad but supposed to be worse later today. Not complaining, others have it much worse. Soup, wraps and coffee sounds so good. Nice way to spend your day with friends. And The Three Amigos or Stooges, lol, will be dancing til the wee hours of the morning this coming weekend. I like how you’re keeping yourself busy and your mind occupied so you don’t worry about your upcoming visit with a specialist. Robin
