My wife died August 4th the middle of the night while I was asleep only 10 feet from her on the couch. She had a swallowing problem for a few months for which she was seeing doctors. She aspirated food in the middle of the night because she was hungry. I woke up at 6am and found her. I never heard a thing. I wasn't there for her in her final moments. I couldn't bring her back. Paramedics couldn't bring her back. The love of my life and my best friend is gone! She was only 46. I re-live that moment at least once a day. I miss her so incredibly. No one ever loved me like her!
very sorry to hear about your wife. I lost my mother suddenly in May. My father was in the same bed and never heard anything. I hope you find this site helpful.
