Yes New Years Eve was difficult for me also....I had been quiet for awhile and now the emotional dam broke. Fortunately I do stop crying and go outside for a walk. You ate not alone with your reactions.

I lost my husband on New Year’s Day morning. I’m going through the same exact thing. I feel like I’m going crazy like it’s not real. I have no appetite at all. Guess this is a normal reaction.

I'm so sorry for both your losses. It's the hardest thing you'll ever go through.
    It has been for me.
I was told by a grief counselor that loss of appetite is a normal reaction to loss.
Also that your body goes into survival mode. It uses only what it needs.
I had no appetite for about 2 months. Then, months of nausea.
Loss of a spouse changes everything. So meals are changed. I still don't cook regularly, and its been 15 months. Still no desire for food.

    Hugs to you both.
