I'm 25, I lost my dad to cancer in 2011. I lost my Mom last December, yet it feels like yesterday. It was sudden and I was the one to find her... I just feel alone and lost, like there is apart of me gone. I have been struggling to sleep and eat. I have always had night terrors but they are worst then ever. I just fell like I have no one to talk to that can really relate to me. Looking for some sort of support..

Hi Aleah, you are in the right place. There are a lot of good people posting here who are feeling like you do and who understand and want to listen and help. Losing your parents is really hard. I lost my dad in February after a long fight with cancer. Super strong man who fought til he couldn’t anymore. Then I lost my husband to complications of cancer treatment in July. Devastating losses. I understand the loneliness you feel. Some days you get through one minute at a time. Praying for you to have peace and calm.

Eat, drink water, rest and reach out to others. You are in survival mode for now.

I'm sorry for your loss. Nights are definitely hard when you're griefing. I lost my mom in 2011. I've finally gotten stronger to deal with her being gone. She visited me in a dream and told me she was ok. He made me feel at ease. I lost my fiancee and my dad in March four days about. I feel like my dad was tired and was still missing my mom. He always talked about being lonely cause she was gone and all his close friends. Losing my fiancee I understand exactly what he meant. I think about him everyday. We have small kids and Ive talked to them about everything but they cry for him ofter. Some days I feel I'm mourning 4 them and myself. I pray we all get stronger to deal with all that comes with grief and healing from it.
