Derry, just came late to your sad post about the death of your soulmate, Dan. I am so deeply sorry & have experienced the unbearable heartache as well. My wife. Linda, died suddenly in front of me at 68, after 25 yrs of marriage, no children. That was over 4 & a half years ago, and I saw a grief counselor. She kindly suggested this site, but I didn't join 'till 2 yrs ago. I'm so grateful I did, bc I've met so many close friends on Grief in Common ( GIC). I notice on your info that you live in Massachusetts, too.Until you came, I was the only Ma. member, then , very recently Kim Elizabeth. May I ask what part of Massachusetts you live? I live on the northern coast and the ocean is precious to me. Lou
hi,i am kelso on GIC.van gogh and i have chatted. my wife passed away jan 15 this year. we were together i am very confused about how to go on. their are oherts here like you and me. please stay in touch.
Derry, Bruce ( "Kelso") , a new member, just reached out to you, to give comfort over the death of your partner, Dan. "Van Gogh " was the user name I used to get on GIC over 2 yrs ago, bc I identified with his tortured soul. My name is Lou, and I texted you last night . Hope you stay with us.
Bruce, you sound just like Brother George. His phrase is I'm trying , too. I hope Brother Gary , about your age, returns to GIC soon. His phrase is "Keep on trucking....". Deborah just urged you to seek help, so you won't be so alone, without hope. Did you see the grief counselor ? Was the person helpful? If not , you may consider going to someone else. That happened to me. Hope both of us have more pleasant dreams than we've been having lately. Lou
