I’m new here but should’ve joined a while ago. I lost my 34 yr old son 5 yrs ago suddenly and my husband of 48 yrs 2 yrs ago to cancer.

I am sorry forr your losses. You have been through hard times. Please share as you feel led. We have also suffered losses, so we know how hard it is. People on this site are very kind and understanding and everyone understands how fragile we can be after this happens.
    Keep in touch here.

I send my deepest condolences for your tremendous loss of your son and husband. Do you have a support system to help you through this grief? Are there local resources to seek face-to-face help if you need it?

There's a lot of strong, yet vulnerable shoulders to lean on here at GIC. Keep coming back.
    Peace be with you.

Griefshare.org is another good website. They may have face to face meetings in your area, or they also have online sessions.

Thank you for your response. I do have few friends that listen at times. I have read a lot about grief. I tried in person grief therapy but I didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere. Honestly my family has really let me down. It just feels like I’ve been through so much and they have a hard time being sympathetic except 1 sister. It certainly doesn’t help that the 5 of us are scattered around the US. How are you doing now with your situation?
