I’m reaching out for help on how to cope with the sudden loss of my mom . She was not sick , and 75 years old . She is my best friend, talked daily and she was completely immersed in my life as well as my 11 year old son. She passes three weeks ago and I’m not able
To cope or hardly function . All I want to do is sleep and cry. I have to be strong for my son but I feel like my heart cannot take the pain . I don’t know a life without her in it , and not having her here is the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life .

Janie, my heart breaks for you and your son. You described my feelings. I just lost my beautiful mama of 99 doying okay until an unresponsive episode that I ended up calling emergency. She ended up staying a long traumatic 10 days in the hospital,
She was eventually discharged and placed in hospice where she passed away 10 days later.
Im not even feeling anything or making any connections. I was also her live in caregiver for over 15 years.
She was my best friend and whole world. I can completely feel your words they resonate deep within my heart. Especially when you wrote it is the worse pain you have ever felt . I agree 100%.
I'm in state of shock feeling lonely, broken, angry, overwhelmed, disconnected, feeling like this deep black empty feeling us never going to be filled.
Again my heart breaks for your loss.

I lost my mom in august and I still cry and feel empty every day. I am now alone as my dad and brother have already passed. The holidays make everything worse if that is possible.
