I lost my father when I was seven years old, and this experience had a profound impact on my life. I think I learned to feel alienated from my peers at an early age because they could not relate to my version of reality. I've always wanted badly to meet someone who could relate to my experiences, but for some reason I've had a difficult time finding anyone, online or in person. Perhaps I don't know the best way to phrase what it is I'm looking for.
I was wondering if anyone on here had also lost a parent in childhood or adolescence? If so, I'd be very curious to hear about what that experience was like for you, for those willing to share.

My apologies for posting in the wrong forum! I meant for this to post to the "Loss of Parent" forum.
