On March 5th i left my husband because we didn't have the best relationship and 10 days later he took his life. I got told in the walgreens parking lot that he was gone, it was like a punch to the gut and my heart was broken. Then i had to go home and tell our two kids that he was gone. He did this thinking that it would not affect anyone in anyway. I cant work because my kids need me, i moved into my parents house because i need them. I am just lost, angry and heartbroken.

    Kelz,

I am sorry for your awful loss. There is nothing that can easily take away the pain you now have.

Unfortunately, it will take time for you to move beyond this tremendous loss. I would suggest asking a child psychologist to help them cope and understand the loss of their father.

On this site there is a an article on suicide https://www.griefincommon.com/blog/suicide-overdose-5-things-only-survivors-understand/

Your reactions are natural after loss. It is great you have your parents available. Their support can help boost your strength in dealing with this.

Please just keep talking if you are able, and please never fall into despair, you are too important to your children. We all handle grief so differently, but keeping in touch with others will help you lessen your pain.

I hope you will find some rest tonight. Take care of yourself as well.
